"we, the undersigned, call on the Welsh Government to work towards providing limited laminectomy Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy surgery to those children and adults in Wales for whom it is recommended.
We believe that there are hundreds of children in the UK now who can prove that this surgery transforms lives and brightens prospects. We believe that it is wrong that so many families are forced to raise more than £40,000 to pay for the procedure privately when it is now available in the UK (and funded by the NHS in some parts of England)"
