In The First World War, between 1914 and 1918, over 290 soldiers of the british and commonwealth armies were executed by firing sqaud, some for desertion and cowardice two for simply sleeping at their posts!!! Many of these men we now know were suffering from shellshock. court martials were quick and generally less than an hour and the accused often unrepresented. To this very day the injustice dealt to them has never been officialy recognised so this petition could be the final push to posthumous pardons for the families and souls of those brave men.
