ACORN has been shown to have engaged in systematic, widespread, deliberate, repetitive voter registration fraud to a degree probably unparalleled in US history. This is well documented by many media and web sources which a simple Google search demonstrates.
It will take considerable time and resources to partition the fraudulent voters from the legitimate.
Yet only a few weeks remain until an election critical to the U.S. and the world in a time of unparalleled financial and political unrest in the world.
Close elections at the local level cannot, under these circumstances, be considered reliable in reflecting the will of the people.
The election of 2000 demonstrated the potentially devastating consequences of voter fraud in the event of a close election at the national level.
We, the undersigned, therefore call on our government to postpone the 2008 elections for at least two months to focus on an investigation of voter registration fraud, and restore voter confidence in a fair and untarnished election.
