We request that Article II, Section 1, clauses 2,3, & 4 of the Constitution of the United States be replaced by an amendment which establishes fair and rigorously instituted procedures for the election of president and vice president.
We request the institution of a national identification system. By the age of 18 all citizens of the United States must provide proof of birth or naturalization, and be issued a Federal Identification Card. All persons then must register with their local government of residence, notify that local government if they move, and register in their new location. No further registration to participate in an election may be imposed by any local, state, or federal agency.
We request that no state may disenfranchise any citizen for any reason other than for the period during which they are serving a sentence for a felony. In order for any individual to cast a ballot for the election of president and vice president, their National Identification Card must be verified at the place of polling. Upon presentation and verification of a National Identification Card, no individual may be challenged further regarding his or her right to cast a ballot.
In order to ensure the separation of government influence from the political process of elections, and thereby ensure the sanctity of voter choice, we request that no information regarding the political preference of individuals be collected or disseminated by any agency of any government, local, state or national, within the United States.
We, the undersigned, present this petition for appropriate action by the legislatures of all states and the Legislature of the United States of America.
