Protection of our Children from Predators

We, the undersigned, demand that Congress enact legislation that protects our children from sexual predators and other deviants. In 2005, Jessica Lunsford, a six year old girl from Florida, was snatched from he bedroom, sexaully assaulted, and then buried alive by a known sex offender. She was found buried in a shllow grave encased in two black plastic trash bags. She had suffocated, and was found clutching a purple stuffed dolphin. The murderer confessed to burying the child alive under police questioning.

We, the undersigned, declare that there is no circumstance that would mitigate a violent crime against a child. We declare that there is not circumstance that would mitigate participating in a violent crime against a child. We declare that there is no circumstance that would mitigate harboring, sheltering, conniving, or withholding information about a violent crime against a child.

We, the undersigned, believe that strong, forceful, and uniform application of laws and subsequent sentences against these individuals is not only moral and ethical, but will serve as a strong deterrant against conducting such malicious acts.

Therefore, we demand Congress enact legislation that would:

1) Require that only a Federal prosecutor be allowed to try cases involving the kidnapping, assault, molestation, or accessory to such a crime.

2) Require that the penalty for kidnapping, molestation, or murder of a child only be the death penalty irrespective of circumstance,

3) Require that the penalty for being an accomplice to kidnapping, molestation, or murder of a child be the death penalty irresepctive of circumstance,

4) Require taht the penalty for harboring, sheltering, conniving, or withholding information about a kidnapping, molestation, or murder of a child be life in prison, and

5) Expedite the death penalty for the guilty parties such that their execution is carried out within three months of their conviction.
