Recall Ron Dellums

Pursuant to the California Constitution and California election laws, we the undersigned registered and qualified electors of the City of Oakland, State of California, respectfully state that we seek the recall and removal of Ron Dellums holding the office of Mayor of Oakland, in California.
We demand an election of a successor to that office. Mayor of Oakland.

Pursuant to Section 11020, California Election Code, the undersigned registered qualified voters of the State of California, hereby give notice that we are the proponents of a recall petition and that we intend to seek your recall and removal from the office of Mayor of Oakland, and to demand election of a successor in that office. The grounds for the recall are as follows: Gross mismanagement of city affairs, threatening public safety by refusing to implement Measure Y, failing to address public concerns during crime waves and federal investigations into city affairs, and failing in general to deal with the citys major problems until they get to the crisis stage.


The residents of the great City of Oakland deserve effective leadership. Instead of taking it's place as the progressive heart of the Bay Area, Oakland languishes in failure because of crime and city mismanagement.
We cannot simply wait for the next election while our "Silent Mayor" lets the city deteriorate, sending homeowners and business fleeing for safer ground.
Oakland deserves a Mayor who wants to be Mayor.
Oakland deserves a Mayor who has ideas and plans to affect necessary change in our city.
Oakland deserves a Mayor who is accountable for incompetence and corruption in city hall.
Oakland deserves a Mayor who engages the electorate and responds to the voice of the people.
