Referee kit clashes - change the rules!

Currently, under the rules and regulations of the Football Association (with the exception of the Premier League, Football League, and Contributory Leagues), referees are only permitted to wear the standard black kit with white collar/cuffs.

Nowadays, more and more teams are playing with either very dark kits (navy blue) or black kits - and referees are not permitted to change colours.

So I propose that the rule is changed to something along the lines of "Match Officials must wear black at all times, with the exception of where a colour clash occurs. If, in the opinion of the referee or competition organisers such a clash occurs and the clashing team concerned do not have a change of colour available, all Match Officials appointed to the match in question must change to a 2nd colour (yellow or green)"

Yellow or green kits are currently available from the top two referee kit suppliers, Official Sports and A & H International.

Please, would all referees, assessors, managers, players and supporters of the great game of football sign this petition, so that referees (in particular grassroots referees) avoid any kit-clash problems, and are able to enjoy the game without risking having the ball inadvertently passed to him by a player.
