Removal of Evolution and Inclusion of Thunderbird in Gnome Desktop Environment

Given that the Evolution mail client is a very good alternative to proprietary software, it is not as widely used or known to many people new to Linux/Open Source.
With the recent announcement of Adobe donation code to the Mozilla Foundation and the versions of Thunderbird going from strength to strength, it would be very likely that many people know/heard of/use Thunderbird mail client for mail, calendar management. A big advantage of the Mozilla offering is the momentum the Firefox browser has and hence the popularity of Thunderbird. This will also help people transition from other platforms easily. We now know that this does work for OpenOffice.org.
The architecture accepting extensions(add-ons), Thunderbird seems a viable option for many developers to plug in their piece of code for extending functionality as per needs. This is especially useful for companies using any kind of special features for their specific environment. Themes also come to mind in this regard.
This petition is a sincere request to reduce the integration of evolution mail client with the Gnome Desktop Environment and use Thunderbird instead.
