On Monday, June 3, 2002, the Turner Broadcasting-operated Cartoon Network returned Sailor Moon to its regular schedule, beginning with the very first episode. This news was to the delight of all of the American Sailor Moon fans. This was also a great opportunity for new people to explore the world of Serena, a school student who transforms into the Champion of Justice, to right wrongs and triumph over evil. The news of the series return was so great, it was advertised by the SOS: Save Our Sailors campaign at their web site, with two flyers inviting viewers to tune in.
Then, to everyones shock, on Monday, July 8, 2002, when everyone tuned in at 3:30 PM to watch Sailor Moon, they saw Ed, Edd, n Eddy instead. All of the moon fans were shocked and wondering why Sailor Moon was pulled after one month.
Some research on the Cartoon Networks web site then indicated that the next Sailor Moon episode would air Monday, August 5, 2002 at 3:30 PM. The episode scheduled to air is entitled Cherry Blossom Time. This is episode #45 in the series. However this event never occurred. Sailor Moon was dropped from Cartoon Network.
I, Alyssa Standridge, am proposing that Sailor Moon return to Cartoon Network starting with the very first episode. Also, that Sailor Stars, the last season of Sailor Moon, should be English Dubbed and played on Cartoon Network. However, if Sailor Stars should come to America in English I propose that the three new Sailor Scouts, The Starlight/Three Lights, keep their Japanese names and attacks. Lastly, I propose that all the Sailor Moon Movies should be played when the timing is appropriate. This will be a great opportunity for the old Sailor Moon fans to watch the show again and will bring new fans to Sailor Moon.
So I invite Sailor Moon fans across North America and the world to sign a petition to bring back Sailor Moon on Cartoon Network.
Please all you Sailor Moon fans helps me bring Sailor Moon back to America. Thanks and may Sailor Moon be in our hearts forever.
