This petition is to try and overrule the decision made by the Mansfield school committee on the night of April 13, 2010. The committee decided that it was right to cut the schools sports programs to reduce the budget, and yes it may seem like a good idea but when cutting the programs you not only bring end to a tradition of excellence that this town was built upon. I know most of you will may not be fore bringing back the programs because it may mean having to pay more taxes but regardless of if they are here or not the taxes might still be raised. So what is it going to hurt? Please take some time and if you agree with the idea to bring back to sports not only for the sake of the towns people but for the sake of the children of the town then please sign below. Thank you for your time and I hope that this can make some difference and bring back the programs that most of us grew up playing and want to watch out siblings or kids enjoy playing because they are not just sports, they have a much larger effect in our overall life
