We, as concerned citizens, disagree with, and protest against, the Wethersfield Board of Education's decision to approve the following changes to the curriculum.
1) Approval of Integrated Science (Heterogeneous Level 1 & 2) and the Proposed Modification for Earth Science
2) Approval of Elimination of the Introduction to Chemistry and Physics (ICP Honors) Course and Adopt Biology (Honors)
Parents, students, citizens, and most importantly, teachers, have not been involved in this process as much as we should have been. This is a dramatic change in the science curriculum and the concerns of everyone needs to be heard and discussed.
We are against these changes not because we are against change, but because we are against THIS change.
This is a petition for the Board to reconsider their decision and show the community that the Board values the opinions of those it serves.
