I agree that Leander Independent School District should act this year to repair the roof at Steiner Ranch Elementary. There is no definitive expert analysis to support that the paint is not a health risk to the children and adults at the school. The appearance lowers the appeal of the neighborhood to potential home buyers and diminishes property values. The flaking paint also has a negative impact on the surrounding wildlife and preserve.
