Stop Celebrities from Seal Hunt

I am a Newfoundlander, I am not stupid, live in an igloo, or use an outhouse. I am a functioning
member of human society and I am NOT barbaric for supporting the seal hunt. The Canadian
seal hunt supports thousands of seasonal workers who would have very little winter month
income otherwise. By supporting the seal hunt we keep these people from draining government
money and putting strain on the system which many of them are uncomfortable with anyway.
What I am proposing is a petition to stop celebrities such as the McCartneys, Pamela
Anderson, Bardot etc. From cuddling up to seals and making us sound like we act like animals.
These people do not know all the facts and are only acting as stool pigeons for the American
Humane Society to gain them funding. The seal hunt is HUMANE, to quote our premier Danny
Williams you put a white sheet down in a slaughter house youre gonna see blood.
Unfortunately it does look unpleasant because of the ice conditions because of the white
background, but when 90\% of the seals are shot and feel relatively no pain, it remains a humane
practice. It is no different than any slaughter house located anywhere in the world, in fact it is actually more regulated than most slaughter houses. People must realize that there are strict government regulations on the seal hunt and it is not just a free for all.
Im not exactly where this will go but I have to get my frustration out and Im hoping
you will too, stop celebrities who do not know the facts from parading around the ice like its
some sort of zoo, its dangerous for them, its dangerous for the seals, and its dangerous for the
sealers. Thank You.
