Stop S.978

Dear Congress,
As you know, the bill S.978 will take all copyrighted material off the internet. This is a problem for me and many other people because of the fact that this includes video games. If you pass this bill, then it will actually hurt business, not help it, which I'm sure you will worry about. When people post videos on YouTube, for example, people are watching someone have fun with a video game, promoting it, and causing people to go out and buy the game. I understand the bill including Movies and TV shows, because those cannot be altered like the video games can. Therefore, people should not be allowed to post them on a website without permission. However, how you play video games is your own way. You could be the only one to use that strategy and therefore it is your own. Also, this bill is against the first amendment. It will stop people from posting videos and will destroy, in a way, freedom of speech. Finally, this will shut entire businesses down like Machinima, who makes money posting videos on their website and YouTube. Journalists who write about video games and post videos on the web will be out of work. We already have a high homeless population, and we can't afford to raise that count. I hope, after reading this statement and the signatures attached you will not approve this bill.
