THE HONORABLE MIKE SCALON, DAVID B. STEVENS, CHUCK ELLINGER II, GEORGE BROWN, JACQUES WIGGINTON, DICK DECAMP, LINDA GORTON, BILL FARMER JR, KEVIEN O. STINNETT, BILL CEGELKA, GEORGE G. MYERS, JAY MCCHORD, SANDY SHAFER, RICHARD P. MOLONEY, AND ED LANE, COUNCIL MEMBERS OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT.

We, signators hereof, being duly residents of Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky request The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Council and the Mayor of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government to STOP THE CLOSING OF ROSE ST. And We, the signators also request Lee Todd, The President of The University of Kentucky to change and seek bettor alternative plan to the closing of Rose st. and the construction of a visitor parking garage on Limestone St.
WHEREAS, Rose Street provides a north-south flow of traffic from North Lexington,eastern Kentucky, southeast Kentucky to UK's Medical Center and other part of town.
WHEREAS, The new structure's design would cut a vital lights, their own two lane providing movement around the hospital.
WHEREAS, UK's locating the visitor's parking on the other side of Limestone is insane!
WHEREAS, The planned loop in front of the future hospital building will not solve problems, but create Many! Parking across Nicholasville Road will need two stop lights to serve their drop off traffic and other getting in and out of, from & onto Nicholasville Road.
WHEREAS, Many numerous other major conflicts were not researched or discussed, including not planning for their 1,300 predicted new employee's movement in and around the hospital & their parking problems.
WHEREAS, If this change was coming and what amounts of money were spent, in recent history, realigning this intersection(at considerable inconvenience to the public) and building very expensive cross walk with a beautiful entry to campus at Taxpayer's cost?
