Instead of spaying or neutering their dogs; Northern Indian bands allow the population of dogs to procreate and roam freely causing their dogs to become feral. When the population of dogs is too much to control, the dogs are rounded up and shot.

Turtle Gardens Spay and Neuter in Topley, BC located near Burns Lake is an organization operating on a shoestring budget with volunteers to rescue the dogs and find their forever homes. The dogs are brought to Turtle Gardens and rehabilitated by Yvette and Dave Labette and their wonderful helpers. The dogs are dewormed, spayed/neutered and welcomed into their pack. The dogs are then adopted to homes where they are loved, cared for and become members of the family.
These culls have to stop.
