PREAMBLE: We the citizens of Swaziland and movers of this petition, move that the current (ninth) parliament of Swaziland must resign en masse for having failed to serve the citizens and peoples of Swaziland. We confirm and pass a vote of no confidence on the Ninth Parliament of Swaziland.
As citizens of Swaziland, Section 58 (1) Which reads Swaziland shall be a democratic country dedicated to principles which empower and encourage the active participation of all citizens at all levels in their own governance and Section 58(5) empowers us as citizens of this country to take action and lawful measures to expose, combat and eradicate corruption abuse and misuse or abuse of power by those holding political and other public office.
It is with this empowerment that we request and encourage the people of Swaziland to take action and sign this petition which will be delivered to the Clerk to Parliament, who shall be expected to take action and inform members of the House that Swaziland no longer needs their representation and have passed a vote of no confidence on them.
Failing which, we the people of Swaziland shall march to parliament and SHUT the doors of parliament for 60 days, until fresh democratic elections are held by the EBC. We encourage all those calling for change in Swaziland to grab this opportunity and sign this petition and also participate in the upcoming elections, because meaningful change can only be achieved through an act of parliament as prescribed in Section 107 of the Constitution, and NOT through an uprising.

OBJECT: We call upon the department of treasury to halt all salaries due to parliamentarians as of the 30th April 2011, and request all parliamentarians to hand in their resignation letters within 24 hrs after the submission of this petition to the Clerk to Parliament.
We call upon the Elections and Boundaries Commission to prepare for fresh elections of a new parliament within 60 days of the resignations as prescribed in section 133(4) of the Constitution of Swaziland 2005.
Parliamentarians have failed Swaziland and no longer deserve the title of Honourable in that they;
1. Failed to pass a vote of no confidence on Cabinet after 2 scandals involving the E31m and the 50\% discounted illegal sale of land.
2. Have failed to question the E80m lost through corruption in the country.
3. Have allowed our grandmothers to suffer in squalor and hunger because government has not paid their grants.
4. Have failed to serve the electorate and the people of Swaziland in that they,
a)have not moved a Bill to amend the sections of the constitution that are against the spirit of democracy
b)have failed to make use of the Parliament Privileges Act to punish ministers who are involved in squandering state taxes
c)have watched and participated in the squandering of tax payers money, and
d)have allowed Swaziland to run broke under their watch.
By signing on this petition, we the peoples of Swaziland hold ourselves in unity and request all parliamentarians to hand in their resignation letters.
