It is with great distress that the TDF-USA members express
condolences to those who lost their loved ones to unnecessary
violence. It is with deep sorrow Telangana Development Forum
members share their concern with all democratic minded individuals
and appeal to all institutions to come together in working for a
more peaceful coexistence of ideas and agendas.
In a Democracy, there is no room for those who seek to operate
outside the rule of law. Those who profess to stand by the
underprivileged must realize that any stepped up violence will
seriously undermine the rights of those who need most protection
from the law.
Telangana Development Forum appeals to all intellectuals belonging
to all parties join hands in bringing the violence to an end and to
improve the overall atmosphere for a peaceful wagering of
elections.
TDF-USA sincerely appeals to the police and the civil rights
organizations to form a coalition with all walks of life to
investigate every act by any one outside of the law to a full
measure and seek justice. The Telangana Development Forum also
condemns the attitude of all political parties including those who
seek to exploit already precarious situation to their benefit with a
single objective to gain electoral advantage. Any such agenda will
only escalate the situation further removing the last best hope to
achieve a peaceful resolve to the problem.
TDF-USA strongly believes that killing elected representatives or
terrorizing a few people belonging to a party does not address the
cause of the disenfranchised or the peasants or the workers in any
manner. It is counter-productive to the society and it must be
condemned by one and all.
