I LONG FOR AQUALUNG
All fans of Jethro Tull know very well that the sound quality of the bands masterpiece, Aqualung on CD is poor to terrible, depending on how one feels on a particular day. The only decent digital version of Aqualung is the famous DCC Gold CD released in 1997 and made from the personal master copy owned by Ian Anderson. That version was a limited edition and rapidly sold out, leaving herds unlucky fans longing for another chance to get an Aqualung CD that would not sound like a wax cylinder played on an Edison phonograph.
It is also common knowledge that the DCC Gold Aqualung sells at very high prices on eBay, so that it makes perfect business sense to think that the idea of a large scale re-release of a top quality Aqualung is, to say the least, a commercially viable idea.
It does not seem too far fetched to believe that what has been accomplished once by DCC in 1997 can be repeated once again, for the benefit of all fans. Lets all make it clear that we Tull fans are longing for a version of Aqualung that fits the incomparable quality of the music, at last!
YES, I DEFINITELY WANT A REMASTERED VERSION OF AQUALUNG TO BECOME WIDELY AVAILABLE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. PLEASE, PLEASE US, IAN!!!!

The 2006 Aqualung Live Tour has rekindled the love affair with this album, and the remasters of the rest of the back catalogue has made such a difference that surely this is due the same treatment?!
