We wish that Sega of Japan, revive the "Alex Kidd" franchise so that a whole new generation of gamers, aswell as the oldschool ones, can play the glory of this series.
The last Alex Kidd game was released in 1990 and wasn't even part of the original storyline, additional sequels was planned (such as: Alex Kidd in Golden Axe World, Alex Kidd in Phantasy Star World and other simmiliar spinoffs) but all was scrapped when Sega introduced they're new mascot "Sonic the Hedgehog".
Altough the Sonic The Hedgehog franchise is highly respected and a great series of games, most gamers that played during the 8-Bit days miss the original Sega mascot. There's no reason to why both franchise shouldn't be able to exist at once, other company's such as Nintendo didn't scrap "Super Mario" when they created "The Legend of Zelda".
Please Sega, bring back the classic game to the new generation of gaming, more people than you can imagine miss it and would buy it as soon as they could.
