Secondo un piccolo editoriale apparso su Shonen Jump, pare che Togashi stia per concludere il suo manga.
L'autore ha inserito un piccolo disegno e scrive:
"Ho avuto dei mal di testa, dormivo poco ed ero sempre stanco.
Grazie per aver letto HxH.
Sono dispiaciuto per coloro che hanno letto per divertirsi ma ho deciso di terminare la serie.
Grazie per aver letto HxH fino ad ora.
Aspettatevi una nuova serie di Togashi!"
Alcune voci dicono che il vero motivo della chiusura della serie sia dovuto alle scarse vendite.
Hunter x Hunter conta finora 22 volumi e 252 capitoli.
