Let USDA know that you oppose the Proposed Rule published on December 4, 2000. Explain that allowing retail sellers of hunting, breeding, and security dogs to escape licensing conflicts with the law—The Animal Welfare Act exempts ONLY retail pet stores from regulation; puppy mills are NOT stores, and hunting, breeding, and security dogs are not bought or sold as pets. All puppy mill animals need and deserve to be protected under the AWA. *Please note, USDA requires an original and three copies of all comments.
