Assalamwaalakum Everyone! As we all know, Imam Nur will no longer be the Imam for the West County Mosque due to the votes of the Shura members. Imam Nur has been a staple in this community and our Imam for the past 15 years. I believe that this decision should not have been made by the Shura, but instead should have been addressed to the community for our votes. I have come to hear some of the reasons to why the Shura no longer would like him as our Imam and believe it is not justified nor fair. We should be honoured to have him as our Imam and even more proud that the President of ISNA is our community leader. Please sign this petition to reevaluate the situation and take back the Shura's decision. I think that we should get involved as a community and know both sides of the story. I feel as though Imam Nur has been wrongly discriminated against and we as Muslims should not allow this. How can we as a community stand there and let this happen and not find out the truth and reasons to why he is no longer going to be our Imam. It is haram to take away someone's risak for no valid reason. Please sign the petition and lets together address the Shura that made this decision on behalf of the community.
