We, the signers of this petition, respectfully ask the Dunedin City Council to amend the proposed Mobile Trading Bylaw (2013) to support--not hinder--the registered mobile food vendors we patronize. Specifically, we request they consider adopting the following guidelines:
1. Allow registered mobile traders to park at Designated Spots in Parks and Reserves, bringing food to the people.
2. Decrease the "restricted area" from a permanent retail site selling like-kind items to 150m, a more reasonable distance.
3. Produce a list of Permanent Food Stall Sites (e.g. the Museum Reserve) to replace the 2006 Policy that is being revoked, giving these businesses regular trading locations.
