Support the Tolling of U.S. Route 422 (Pa.)

We, the undersigned, support the tolling of U.S. Route 422 in southeastern Pennsylvania under the following specific conditions:
* That the cost of a one-way trip for the entire length of Rt. 422 not exceed $3;
* That a separate authority be formed to ensure proper oversight of revenue collection and Route 422 improvements;
* That 100 percent of collected toll revenue be used for Route 422 road improvements, passenger rail service along the corridor, and associated overhead costs to accomplish the preceding.
* That planners install an "all-electronic system" for toll collection (no toll booths). And that strict security and privacy safeguards be put into place to ensure that traveler data are safeguarded.
422 tolls - "It's needed. It's workable. And it's fair."

This is a common sense solution to a problem that will only get worse if nothing is done. Rail is needed now and if there is any hope of having a decent road between Berks County and KoP, tolling is the answer.
