The families and friends of the victims of the October 15th crash of the Staten Island ferry, Andrew J. Barberi, would like to get names on this petition of those who are in favor of a name change for that fateful ferry which was put back into service this week. We do not feel that it is in the best interest of the families, friends, and general public to have to board a ferry daily that bears the name Andrew J. Barberi as it brings back too many horrible memories of that fateful day. Eleven people lost their lives that day and many more were injured and mamed and a name change would be an honorable way to memorialize those people whose deaths and injuries bought about major changes to make the Staten Island ferry system safer for its passengers. So please show your support to the victims and stand by us with this requested name change. Thank You.
