Apple, please add an option to adjust the desktop grid size

We, the undersigned, are upset and disgruntled with Apple's complete ignorance of the desktop grid size and willingness to give the users of Apple's Mac OS X control over the size of the grid as it were one upon a time in the days of previous OS versions, built upon different technology, such that the ability to adjust said desktop grid size were given unto the user and the user only; whereas said user could select from one of two options -- and two options they were: both wide and narrow -- and petition unto you to sign away youren liveth and given touth us yine dawtry, so that Apple can add a feature to OS X so we can make the damn grid smaller.
