The fans and supporters of Dr. Jay would like to petition Ivan Fecan, the President and CEO of CTVGlobemedia Inc & Kevin Crull, Chief Operating Officer, and Chris Gordon, President of CHUM Radio, to bring back 2 of the greatest radio shows in North America Soca Therapy hosted by Dr. Jay on FLOW 93.5 FM on Sundays from 6 pm to 9 pm, and we would also like to have back the reggae infused show Riddim Track with DJ Spexx from 9 pm to midnight -- because we love dem so much.

This is a community effort and campaign to bring back Dr. Jay and Spexx on Flow 93.5 fm, because these two DJs and radio show hosts went beyond the call of duty to do their work. Not only were we educated with new songs and riddims, we were jumping up wid dem tunes. The public are the listeners, and we, the public know what we need.

Executives of CTVGlobemedia, please bring back our favourite deejay Dr. Jay on Sundays from 6 pm to 9 pm, on Flow 93.5 FM, because the artistes, performers, singers, community leaders and fans appreciate him and need to have a community radio show with programming as unique as Dr. Jays show. Ten years of Dr. Jay on FLOW is not enough, we need him for 20 years more. His news, with Nurse Karen and the music are about Caribana and cultural events that are important to our Caribbean and international ethnic groups.

The roots of the African music originated in the deep hinterlands of western Africa, and the music was brought over to our beloved Caribbean islands by the slaves where in 1783, the first kaiso tune was heard. The roots of this music is African in origin, but its heart and soul lies in the multitude of descendants of the Caribbean who are of East Indian, Chinese, Portuguese, Spanish, Jewish, French Creole, Hakka, European, and many different ethnic backgrounds. The power of the kaiso and soca, is tremendous, and this music heals our soul. Without Soca Therapy or Riddim Track, we feel homeless in North America. Education is the power and key to success for the youths, and the youths of Canada need to feel they belong in our new home. Without the specialty radio shows like Soca Therapy and Riddim Track, life is meaningless.

CTVGlobemedia please bring back Dr. Jay, bring back Spexx, without them, we feel sad. The songs by the calypsonians healed us on the inside, and the reggae makes us feel better. How can youths identify with their culture, if they lose 2 of the best radio shows ever. Marketing and money is not everything, peace and love is deep within our souls. If we cannot identify with our culture, it feels like we lost our home. Like Knaan song, Wavin Flag, out of the darkness, came Dr. Jay and Spexx, to save our souls, when we heard them on the radio, we felt free, without them our minds are like in bondage metaphorically, we need to feel that we have been freed from stress daily. We will wait patiently for some day, when we are stronger, and we hope to hear Dr. Jay and Spexx again, because we will not give up on hope. The media needs to listen to us because we support Dr. Jay and Spexx. We love them and we want CHUM radio producers to listen to us because we represent our community.
