After reading the website (www.call2hm-thesultanofbrunei.com), I would like to support Mr. Adel Elmaghrabi in his request for a meeting with His Majesty, the Sultan of Brunei. I believe this meeting is necessary so that His Majesty may hear first-hand Mr. Elmaghrabi's complaints against the Government of Brunei in order to remedy the situation in a just manner before the case becomes fully public.
I also understand and appreciate Mr. Elmaghrabi's decision not to immediately publicize the details of the case to the international media to preserve the reputation of the Royal family in Brunei.
However, if his request receives no response, I support his decision to publicly disclose the full details.
If officials within the Government of Brunei continue to conceal this case from His Majesty then Mr. Elmaghrabi would be well within his rights to bring it all to light even if the case relates to a female member of the Royal family who is from among the closest people to His Majesty.
Since September 2002, Mr. Elmaghrabi has waited for the Government of Brunei to solve the problem in a fair and balanced manner. However, there has been no response to his repeated requests and, therefore, there can be no blame on him for any legal action which he decides to take.
The Brunei Government is fully responsible for all the negative consequences that have resulted from the injustices Mr. Elmaghrabi experienced in Brunei. Their officials, among others, are responsible for all the harm he has already endured, and, for whatever harm may lie ahead.
A million signatures = a million human beings = three times the population of Brunei.
