We the under signed Canadians demand that Gov. Gen Michaлlle Jean reject Prime Minister Stephen Harper's request to prorogue Parliament.
We feel that our government has spent an enormous amount of money and time on current bills and committees during this parliamentary session and prorogation will waste all of this time and money. We feel that it is our right to have our elected members of parliment answer to the House of Commons and that prorogation strips all Canadians of this right. Further more, we feel that Mr. Harper is requesting to end the current session of parliament as a way of suppressing information about detainees in Afghanistan.

I want a Prime Minister who can handle criticism and who will try his damndest to make Parliament work. It's hard to do either of these if Parliament is suspended for any period of time.

It's clear that Strphen Harper will do anything to remain in power. He's very clever at it, but because at every turn his contempt for Canadian democracy becomes clearer, we can hope that with the next election his regime will end and we can begin to rest
