Cathleen Black is unfit to head the New York City Public Schools, the largest and most diverse school district in the country.
We, the undersigned, demand that she must resign now! WE HAVE NO CONFIDENCE IN HER!
Ms. Black has no training as an educator, no experience in education, no advanced degree, never attended a public school, sends her children to private schools, has no history of working with or concern for people of color. She has no respect for poor people.
Ms. Black, a multimillionaire corporate executive, was chosen by Mayor Michael Bloomberg to manage the corporate model of education sweeping the nationХs public schools, a model that indoctrinates children to be good workers not independent thinkers, workers who will continue an economic system in which a very small percentage of people own four fifths of the wealth... whose children attend private, not public schools.

Mayoral control of schools must end now and a PeopleХs Board of Education must be elected!
