Various surgery's in Coventry and perhaps other towns of the UK are being forced to close and relocate to a central hub. The main reason for this is long term cost saving to the Government. However this isn't in the interest of the patients particularly those that are disabled, elderly and suffer from long term illnesses. One such surgery is the George Elliot Medical Centre at 216 Foleshill Road, Coventry. Despite the PCT claiming that patients have been consulted this is not necessarily the case. Please sign this petition to show you support to keep surgeries such as this one within the community where they belong and not somewhere remote and in many cases inaccessible by public transport. Those patients able to travel by car face high parking charges.
