We call on An Garda Siochana to reconsider its discriminatory recruitment ban on practicing Sikhs and Muslims. The current recruitment policy prejudicially affects those of religious persuasion and precludes entry into a police force that purportedly claims to represent all. Contrary to claims of neutrality, this ban highlights a bias that has no place in modern Ireland.
