Fed.Inmates Right to Phone Home

The federal correctional facility at Edgefield, SC, severely restricts inmates' monthly allotted time to phone home. This is a hardship for their families, especially the children of those inmates who are trying to be active parents.
The current phone time of 300 minutes per month is inadequate and was imposed in March 2000 suddenly and without reason.
Please sign this petition to the Bureau of Prisons to have inmates' phone time at Edgefield increased to at least 150 calls of any length, per month. Thank you.

Not only the inmate does time, but so does his family. Regardless if the inmate is guilty or not, his family and children are NEVER guilty, while they are doing the time with him. So they should have the right to have more contact with their beloved ones

The right to communicate is essential to prevent the continued spread of tyranny. Ammendment one is a law of the people. For many this ammendment has already been violated, or they would not be imprisoned to begin with.
