Flash Exposure Compensation on Nikon D3 series

The Nikon D3 series lack flash exposure compensation control from the camera body. This has some unfortunate consequences:
1) It is not possible to adjust the flash compensation for ALL the remote flash groups simultaneously. The camera's flash compensation feature, found on other Nikon bodies, allows this.
2) When the flash compensation is set on other Nikon bodies the value is added to that of the flash commander, giving an extended flash compensation range. D3 series uses don't have this ability.
3) Accessing the flash compensation on the flash is slower and more awkward than access via the camera body.
We would like a firmware update to add flash exposure compensation to the camera body, via the flash button in combination with the front dial. We realize that this information couldn't be displayed via the viewfinder and that they'd be no indication that it's active in the top panel, so it should probably be an option that needs to be turned on in the custom settings.
