I believe that FPSBanana.com should host Blue's (Temion's) 'cp_orange_final', the map that he worked on for the past eight months. The map represents a lot of original work, thought, and careful planning to turn the map into what it is today.
The person who is filing the complaint against us is one GGODD2. He is _NOT_ the original author of OrangeX. He claims that we didn't properly secure permission from him in order to "steal his map" as he so elegantly puts it.
How can someone who did not craft the original idea then turn around and cry foul of someone doing _exactly_ what he did? Why do we allow GGODD2's REMAKE of OrangeX to be hosted on FPSB but not Blue's?
Before Blue ever started working on this map, we secured (as a clan) permission from the original author of the map: White Wolf. He told us as long as we credited him as the original author that he really did not care who did what with it.
We gave credit where credit was due. We credited White Wolf, for the simple reason that he created the original concept of the map. We even credited GGODD2, who we credited simply because he maintains the most popular REMAKE of the original orangex concept design.
We do not support a site that chooses to hold a double standard amongst the map making community. It's ok for some people to be inspired and design a map, but it's not for others. It's ok for someone to demand permission be requested from them, even if they hold no claim as the original author of the work. This is really just plain flat out ridiculous.
