At sunrise on January 26th, at the behest of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Turin, a manhunt was started in many Italian cities against the No TAV movement: around 40 people were served precautionary measures and are currently in prison or under house arrest. As it has already happened many times in the past, preventative measures are used to limit freedom.The No TAV movement has fought for 22 years against the construction of an expensive and useless project, it is animate by the daily participation of tens of thousands of people who live in the Val Susa valley and it has been able to win generalized consensus and support because it represents a struggle for the common and radical democracy. With the worsening of the economic crisis, the No TAV movement has become a reference point for all.We therefore denounce and reject the operation of the Prosecutor's Office of Turin and its clear goal to intimidate this social movement. We invite all those who defend the common and the values of freedom to take a stance against this act, expressing their solidarity with the No TAV movement. We demand the immediate release of all prisoners and the end to all preventative measures.
