Plan B versus the other two Plans creates the most room for growth in all schools over a 3 year period .
The Manor will grow to approximately 450 homes in Fulton County and there have been 125 homes sold to-date. Plan B allows room for growth in the new Birmingham Elementary School, whereas Plans A & C open at or above capacity.
The proximity from The Manor to Summit Hill Elementary is further than Birmingham Elementary and the current traffic pattern is extremely congested. The closest route from The Manor to Summit Hill requires buses to make upwards of 5 turns on dangerous rural roads.
The Manor, White Columns, Highland Manor, Tullamore and Hampton Manor participate in common community activities including swimming, tennis, golf, football and soccer. The kids want to stay together.
Plan B is the easiest of the three options to modify in order to minimize the impact on Hembree and Sweet Apple Elementary Schools.
If you agree with the above statements, please support our petition to the redistricting committee to approve Plan B for the Fulton County Elementary School Redistricting meeting on December 10, 2008.
