U.S. House of Representatives
We the undersigned petitioners call upon our U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate to Investigate the high rise in oil prices and to further roll back prices at the gasoline pumps to the average level as of March 1, 2006 of $2.09.9 per gallon of gasoline and to cap the price of gasoline at the pump within the United States. Prices at the pump at the time of this petition are on an average of $2.59, an average increase of 50.9 cents per gallon in less than 30 days. We the residents of the United Sates saw high profits of the oil companies in the Billions of dollars for 2005 and can again see the same during the year of 2006. We urge our U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives to stop this madness. Some Citizens of the United States are now at the point of making hard choices in their life of eating, staying warm, purchasing medicine and paying insurance premiums. It is now time that actions be taken to protect us from making such hard choices.
