3) New application of paint for traffic lines on Gould and Victoria Streets
The above improvements would add to the safety of both pedestrians and motorists.
53\% of those surveyed (126 out of 239), have encountered problems while crossing this intersection. These problems include: nearly being hit, difficulty crossing due to right-of-way confusion, aggressive drivers, traffic congestion, etc.
According to the Fifth Principle of the Toronto Pedestrian Charter, Personal and Community Safety entails an environment in which people feel safe and comfortable (2002).
