With humble gratitude we welcome your recent decision. Thank you for your patient and prayerful consideration of this very complex and important matter. More specifically, we thank you for making a decision that does true honor to:
the multifaceted, international membership of the Church of the Nazarene
the holy character and purpose of the General Assembly
the needs and circumstances of delegates and visitors from outside the U.S.
the wisdom of our denominations history and laws as found in the Manual
the Lordship of the crucified, resurrected Christ, and the sanctity of His Body, the Church
We celebrate your faithfulness, and that of the humble Lord of the Church, for watching over the flock of Gods people with loving-kindness. We acknowledge your difficult position and that you have wisely worked through a perplexing set of issues and in so doing have helped carry us into an important moment in the life of the Church. In your decision we find the sign of a hope that does not disappoint. You have set a righteous tone that resonates with the coming peace of Christ, a peace that is already coming alive in our increasingly diverse, international fellowship.
