Lupus is a long term (chronic) illness. Because Lupus is an systemic disease any part of the body can be affected including the joints, kidneys. lungs heart and brain. Once diagnosed a patient will see numerous specialists and be placed on numerous medications, which they can expect to be on for the rest of their lives.
Currently there are no financial resources in place or research available for Lupus sufferers in Ireland.
By signing this petition you are helping us:
1. To have the LTI Scheme reveiwed for the first time in almost 40 years so that Lupus may be recognised and included on this Scheme. This will change the lives of families throughout the country living with this condition
2. To raise awarenss for Lupus in Ireland
3. To request more resources in Ireland for people suffering with this debilitating condition
4. To request further education and research into the condition in Ireland
