"We the undersigned petition the UN General Assembly and the Security Council to nominate a Woman as UN Secretary General. We are asking the UN to do so in order to uphold its commitment to gender parity. The UN has not succeeded in doing so in the last 61 years, and we are thereby asking the UN to show initiative in nominating a woman to become the next Secretary General and thereby shed much needed attention on Womens Issues around the World."
