Obama Supporters and Others Against A Hillary Clinton Running Mate

Obama Campaign, choosing Hillary Clinton as Obama's Veep Candidate is a bad idea.

Why? There are several reasons:

1) The Clintons' (plural) Personal baggage. It's late October, and all of a sudden we find out about new Clinton girlfriends or other scandals that occurred after he left office.With Hillary, it could be "Son of Cattle Futures or Whitewater". With both, pardons or unsavory fundraisers. They claim to be vetted, but that's only for the 8 years in the White House. What about the 8 years afterward? There has only been a little scrutiny, as Clinton was no longer running, and considered to be retired and no longer relevant. While Obama has taken the high road, the GOP hasn't-and won't They will bring whatever they have found out at the worst possible time-possibly late October or right after the convention. Obama then spends the remaining campaign explaining these scandals and defending his running mate instead of sharing with the American people his vision and proposals

Even without new baggage, time spent reminding people about all the old baggage would also prove to be a distraction and an embarrassment.People would be entertained with stories about how all the old participants are doing, and updating the old stories with new information-perhaps even a new edition of the Starr Report. 2) People hate her, they really, really hate her. All those crossover Republicans (Obamicans) and Independents who support him now will vote McCain or stay home if she gets on the ticket.

4) Her ideas are from the past, race baiting now, gender baiting in the fall. How can she even say the word "unity" after what she has said about how Obama is sexist, cannot win over white working class voters, and have thrown Democratic primary voters and states overboard because they did not voter for her?

5) Will people trust that she's telling the truth about her support for Obama after having trashed him so badly in the spring, or will they say it shows Obama will do anything to win, or that he's too weak to say no?

6) Incompetent campaign and campaigner.

7) Doesn't bring any states or groups Obama couldn't appeal to with a little effort and time. New York will go blue, and the states that have voted for her are already reliably blue. Other groups of Democrats have already said they wil vote for him in the general.

In short Obama Presidential Committee, please find a another person for running mate who can be a team player, respects diversity, and will support Obama's message of change.
