Petition to get Strung Out to play Skate and Surf Fest 2005

To Heath Miller, Excess dB Entertainment, and the promoters of Skate and Surf Fest 2005:
This petition was created to increase awareness that the fans of the band Strung Out (Fat Wreck Chords) would like to see the band booked for Skate and Surf Fest in Asbury Park, NJ next spring, in May of 2005. Even if the band cannot play due to scheduling and touring conflicts, please at least talk to the band and consider booking them. Strung Out has many fans and do not play on the East Coast enough, so we assure you that the band will draw a large number of kids to the fest if they play. Take this example - this past summer, Strung Out played the Warped Tour 10 Year Reunion show in Boston, MA, where their set time was 11:45am and they were the first band to play. Regardless of their early set time, they still had a large crowd of people watching them and it was discovered that many kids from all over the Northeast had come out solely for them. Kids from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachussets, and even parts of Canada (such as Quebec, Ontario and New Brunswick) all came to show their support and see Strung Out play. If this is what the band's turnout was like considering they were first to play on an entire day-long fest and given the earliest time slot available, it is almost guaranteed that more of the same will occur if Strung Out plays one day at Skate and Surf Fest. They do not even need to play the main stage, one of the side stages or the boardwalk stage outside will be more than enough to keep their East Coast/Northeast fans content. Please read these signatures and comments and consider booking them for this fest if it is at all possible. Thank you.

Strung Out is an excellent band with a large fan base, and having them play Skate and Surf will definitely please their East Coast fans who don't see them enough. GET STRUNG OUT ON SKATE AND SURF!!
