Petition to Support Fair Funding for All Schools in New York State

We urge you to establish a fair funding formula for all schools in New York State. The recent Campaign for Fiscal Equity court decision mandates that the State provide new funding to guarantee a sound basic education to all New York City students. Now is the time to assure all of New York States schools get their fair share of funding. We urge you to pass the Schools For New Yorks Future Act to assure that all schools throughout the state receive funding based on the actual cost of educating students rather than politics, and to protect local property taxpayers from being unfairly burdened. We call on you to get the job done for our schools: do not leave our schools behind. This year we want action rather than empty promises. We will be watching and voting.
