Play Journey's "Lights" at Every San Francisco Giants Home Game

We, the undersigned fans of the San Francisco Giants, ask that the Giants institute a tradition of playing Journey's "Lights" at the middle of the eighth inning of every Giants home game.

"Lights" was played at the second game of the 2010 World Series. The video of the fans singing along, with Steve Perry leading the way on the big screen, has gone viral online. It's impossible to watch it without being moved. Many commentators, most from outside the Bay Area, have remarked how stirring the scene really was. The love of San Franciscans for their team and their city was blended with a timeless classic rock ballad in an outpouring of civic unity and happiness. It was an incredible scene.

Boston has "Sweet Caroline," but it has nothing to do with the team or the city. "Lights" is San Francisco through and through. Singing along with "Lights" will not only give Giants fans a moment to be proud of their city and their team, but will also bring back the incredible experience of the Giants' 2010 championship season. A tradition was born in Game 2. Please, Giants front office - keep it going!
