Privatisation of Australia's Official God

To the president of the Senate and the parliament of Australia assembled
We the undersigned petitioners draw to the attention of the parliament the recent comments of Anglican Dean of Sydney, Phillip Jensen, quoted in the Sydney Morning Herald on 3/1/2005 on the matter of God being the cause of the Asian tsunami disaster:
"disasters are part of His warning that judgement is coming". And further "Our first task is to pray [to] the sovereign God who rules all things, and secondly to give generously to help people in their hour of need, and thirdly, down the track, to think about and talk about what it's all about."
The Tsunami disaster has taken many lives and has destroyed much property. It is going to cost billions to help people get back on their feet again and to assist countries affected.
We note that the preamble to our constitution states in part:
Whereas the people of New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Queensland, and Tasmania, humbly relying on the blessing of Almighty God, have agreed to unite in one indissoluble Federal Commonwealth under the Crown
We note that Queen Elizabeth the 2nd (the crown and the sovereign) claims to rule on behalf of god and to being the defender of the faith, and, that taking into account the above we are supposed to be under the rule of god and the crown as subjects.
Because God is part of the Australian constitution, God is an official Australian institution and an enforced public entity
It says in gods policy documents at Leviticus 24:16: And he that blasphemeth the name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death and in Deuteronomy 17:12 where it states: And the man that will do presumptuously, and will not hearken unto the priest that standeth to minister there before the LORD thy God, or unto the judge, even that man shall die.... His policies also state in Deuteronomy 13:1-11 that we should also put to the sword anyone who tries to show us another way, including whole towns and cities. This is bound to cause much more death and suffering leading to a huge increase in local and foreign aid outlays.
We point out that after a cost benefit analysis of Tsunami disasters, and potential future problems, it appears to be much more expensive to the Australian people to have god ruling than it would be to have no god ruling. The creation of such disasters is just another example of waste.
We say that there appears to be no accountability for this waste with any criticism of it to be punishable by death. This is hardly an ideal democratic arrangement.
We say that the institution of an Australian publicly owned god has become a burden on the citizenry and has outlived its usefulness.
We call on the parliament therefore; to legislate to PRIVATISE the public institution of god, and sell god to anyone who wants to have god on their side. We say that first preference for the stock should be given to the churches -if they agree to exchange all the gold held by them -for it.
We ask that all of the profits be divided and given according to need, to those who have suffered under the current arrangements.
