On 22nd August 2012 James Alexander Harris of Glenfarg,Perthshire was charged with sexually assaulting a 7 year old next door neighbour. Due to appear at Perth Sheriff Court on 21st September the family hoped to have him removed to a different address as part of his bail conditions.The reason for this was that the victim was too frightened to be at home,she can hear Harris through the walls when she is in bed,talking,coughing ect and does not wish to set eyes on him. The accuseds home is also less than a 1 minutes walk away from the local primary school and children frequently pass to get to school. At court the Sheriff was not informed by the fiscal that the victim felt intimidated and so was living away from home with her grandmother. We,the persons signed below demand that this case be recalled and the Sheriff given the full details concerning the impact on this child victims life.We demand that the accused be removed from his home in order that the victim can return to the care of her mother. We believe that the rights and wellbeing of the child should be paramount and that no more damage be done by letting the accused remain at home where he is able to intimidate by his mere presence.Thank you
