Resign Paul Hegarty (Finn Harps Manager)

This week (Thursday 11th December) the board of Finn Harps have accepted manager Paul Hegartys request and have set a budget for the 2009 season according to his wishes. This is crazy for a manager who misspent the massive funds he got last season on sub standard players who could not care less about the club and finished below many clubs with far lower expenditure.

Sizeable contributions from Supporters Clubs
12K from the Friends of Finn Harps (not the tens of thousands lied about on radio)

This trojan work resulted in around 900,000 brought into the club which still left a shortfall of a few hundred thousand. Money like this was never brought into the club before and seriously hard work was put in by a lot of people who have other full time jobs to achieve it.

With numerous fans threatening to pull out of the 500 club/Lotto etc if Paul Hegarty stays in charge (in fact many have done so already) the club will not be in the position to sustain a competitive budget and going cap in hand to the North West public wont work this time if the club runs into difficulties.

Therefore we appeal to you Paul Hegarty: Please for the sake of Finn Harps FC do the right thing and resign as the majority of fans have no confidence in you (this goes also to the members of the board who gave him this budget and continue to back you at all costs).
